Torn on this product. While It goes on easy and then, often, a few minutes later it starts bubbling, it doesnt always do so every time. When it does, it is kinda wild but fun. But then sone days it juat doesn't. The amount in the jar is small. Doesn't seem to be heavily scented. Skin feels smooth after but a bit dry. Did not notice a brighter look. Smaller pores always happen when skin dries out. So not sure how effective it really is.

This reminds me of another face mask that was discontinued and I'm so happy to see this kind of mask again! It's such a fun and effective product, although it can seem kinda gimmicky, I love that it combines the two. There's nothing I love more than effectiveness with a splash of whimsy. I love how this bubbles up on the face and gets bigger, it just makes a boring ol' clay mask exciting, although you have to apply a good amount on. I applied it thinly on my hand in the photo, and it didn't bubble nearly as much as it does on my face. I also have sensitive skin that can't exfoliate often and this does such an incredible job at absorbing all the excess oil and sebum, that my pores look soo clear. It also leaves a buttery soft skin feel and seriously feels like a baby's cheek. It's not dehydrating and gently cares for my pores.

When I got this I thought the "bubble" part was mostly packaging but actually once on your face it does fizz up. I am suspecting that's actually just a fun gimmick but it is indeed fun lol (though I think the photos on the listing make it seem fluffier than it really does get). That said, as an actual product, it goes on well and washes off really well without making my skin feel overly dry. Having an AHA/BHA combo product is nice and depending on your preference can be a time saver. I've only been using it 1-2 times a week since I've got other actives in my rotation.

I liked using this purple rice bubble mask. Nice that it only needs to be on for 3-5 minutes, I tend to not use the ones that need 15-20 minutes because it just mentally feels like a long time. It’s not really, I know, but it’s a barrier for me and then I forget about it entirely.This goes on really smooth and easy. I didn’t love the applicator, but it was a nice extra. Just prefer using my fingers. It spreads on pretty thin or you can plop it on thicker. Didn’t notice much difference either way, so I’m sure it could last longer with thinner applications. I honestly didn’t notice much bubbling? But it also didn’t make my face feel super tight as it dried and it didn’t flake off either. It was a bit tough to get off of my hand, but I have only used it on my face before a shower and it came off easily. Might be tougher if you’re just washing your face at the sink though.No real scent that I noticed. Skin felt soft and smooth after washing it off. I have super sensitive skin but went all in (dumb idea probably) and barely tested it before use, and no adverse reactions.Small jar, but it seems to last a good while. Cute and fun to use.

This was such a fun mask! I LOVED the packaging-the logos, the colors, the bottle (which looked like a cute little glass bubble) and felt that it added to the overall experience for me.Formula 5/5 Stars-This comes with a cute little spatula that you can use to spread and the formula felt very cooling and soft, it was a light airy whipped formula. After a few seconds, it started to feel fizzy and it was a light very mild tickle sensation. After 5 minutes, it looked visibly lighter and you could see the microscopic bubbles. It removed easily and left no residue behind. Also, it is entirely free of fragrance, which is important to me.Packaging 5/5 Stars-Box safety sealed, adorable logo, and beautiful frosted glass container that enhanced the experience. I enjoy the way it looks on the counter.Value 4/5 Stars-I think this is priced competitively when compared to other higher end masks on the market. I love using skincare masks as a special self care treat for myself. I have never tried a bubble mask yet even though I've been curious. I was very interested in this mask because I have always heard about the brand. I really wanted to try tokki on tje moon for a very long time.The mask was appealing as a starting point with the brand since it's not only for face usage. I feel there is more benefit from a mask that is also suitable for my back or chest. The fact that it is pdrn, vegan, and rice ingredients made me much more excited.I really focus on brightening and skin elasticity. I am also focused on skin cleansers that are ultimately hydrating not drying. I was looking forward to trying this mask because I really wanted a new mask to reflect my skincare and self care needs but I also wanted a fun novel product. This is very playful and fun to use.I have only had clay masks or washes. I admit this bubble format is already a favorite. The process is faster than a dry first, wash off mask.Tubs always bothered me with my nails getting dirty and tubes make it hard to get all the product. This format with a spatula with a pot container is very mess free. My tub had the material inside like a cylinder of kids molding dough, not spread in the jar. Not quite what I expected.The bubble mask is much easier to apply. The small spatula is just right to scoop product from the container. The spatula also applies a smooth decent coating on a reasonable area surface of my face. I really love how cute it is. I wish the container had a home or holder for the spatula.The mask doesn't bubble unless it is in contact with moisture. The mask did not bubble on just dry skin or with friction. Lightly wet skin is great to start with. I prefered applying with misting my face first with moisture.The mask bubbles with any wet product, the bubbles and slip change depending on the wetness level. Very easy to wash off.The mask works well with fingers or a spatula for covering my face. I did a small patch test on my hand with the tool a few times. I have redness on my cheeks, chin, forehead and just below the neck.I'm picky when a mask is fragranced. I think this was fantastic. The aroma is appealing and subtle! It is light, not that detectible. No strong pdrm undernotes as some can have.The price is expected for the brand and therefore understandable. I would buy this regularly to use as I wouldn't need to use it very much and it would last a reasonable time frame. I really really liked this mask. If you've never used a bubble formula mask before, they're equal parts weird and fun.The packaging on this is SO pretty - the frosted container makes it feel fancy. I love that you can see the purple mask through it, too, because it makes it this pretty frosted purple color. It's really cute in my bathroom cabinet, and it looks high end.The texture of this mask is like a thick, creamy whipped formula. It's smooth. There's a spatula included but I just used my fingers. The purple color is just so fun (so much more than the black charcoal bubble mask I've used before.) You do want to apply it evenly, not quite thin where you can see your skin through it, but not thick like you're caking it on your face.When it starts to "bubble" you'll kind of feel this puffy, fizzing effect on your skin. As I said... it's weird, and also fun. If you apply the mask too thick, it will actually feel like it's going to fall off your face because it's puffing too much. Too thin and it won't really do a whole lot. It might take a bit of practice but there's a Goldilocks just right for this one.It washes off really easily and leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated, bouncy and not tight.I do think it's a tiny bit expensive, but it's not the sort of mask you use regularly. It feels fancy and special, so it really should be used more like a special treatment. I think it would make a really great gift for somebody who loves this kind of skin care but may not treat themselves often! Especially because the packaging and the container are just so darn cute.

Comes with a little silicone spatula to spread product, so your hands don’t get messy. Not heavy weight or sticky, and was easy to rinse off after the allotted time.
