This is a K beauty skin care that I was not familiar with. They promote a less is more approach and try to simplify steps. This purple rice PDRN gel and cream is really two products in one since it combines a serum with a moisturizer. PDRN is a molecule derived from salmon and DNA that is widely used in Korean skin care to help boost skin regeneration and repair the skin barrier. Personally I like the idea of two products swirled together into one and it felt very refreshing on my skin. I do feel I need an extra boost of hydration in the winter beyond this but it would be ideal in the warmer months.

This gel and cream combo is lovely. It comes with a little application stick, or maybe it's just a stir stick. I was going to try and use the formula recommended for oily skin on my forehead and dry skin on my cheeks, but the cream is literally buried underneath the gel so there's no way to properly customize this as advertised. I thought there would be two halves to the jar; unfortunately the only feasible option is to stir them together in the 1:1 ratio for combination skin.Luckily, this combo seems to work well for me. My skin feels great and looks hydrated for hours. I also love that it is unscented.

I LOVE this gel cream! First, this is a purple rice PDRN gel & cream and as you can see from the photos, basically it’s like a bunch of cream at the bottom of the jar with gel on top of it. It comes with a small spatula so you can scoop what you’d like and the spatula is long enough to reach both cream and gel. You can either use one and then the other (but you will be scooping out some of the gel no matter what since it’s on top) or, as it’s intended, you mix the two together and apply to skin. Then you pat it in to aid with absorption.As for the ingredients, this is a rice PDRN so most people know that salmon PDRN is great for anti-aging and tissue repair. Rice PDRN comes from rice and the use is for strengthening the skin barrier and skin brightening. Salmon PDRN also tends to be heavier while rice PDRN is more lightweight. I use the two alternately for the two different purposes-I prefer rice PDRN during the day because it’s a light more lightweight and also helps with skin brightening whereas I prefer salmon PDRN at night because it’s heavier and can do more repair work for my skin at night.The formulation for this cream gel is really lightweight and non sticky. It absorbs well and I also really like that it does not pill up when I put sunscreen and makeup on over it but still helps me retain moisture for my skin.Highly recommend this if you have drier skin (also oilier skin if the reason it’s oilier is due to it being dry—a lot of times dry skin will overproduce oil to try to help maintain moisture) or just want a lightweight gel cream that can hydrate but allow you to put on makeup easily! I would definitely purchase this in the future!

Well, the latest skincare ingredient that I'm trying is PDRN. I'm a little hesitant to try salmon-derived PDRN, so this purple rice PDRN is perfect. The glass pot container is luxe! It is heavy and it makes the product look so elevated. The included clear plastic spatula is great quality, not flimsy or cheap.This is a very unique product because it includes both PDRN gel AND cream. The gel pretty much encapsulates the cream in the middle. The gel has a thick and viscous consistency, but oh so easy to apply! The instructions say you can either apply one after another, or mix and apply together. I decided to test by applying to my hand (gotta spot test!) first the gel, then the cream. The cream has a slightly more lightweight feel to it. They are very hydrating. And takes a min or 2 to really soak into your skin. Once it dries down, it is not tacky nor sticky. It does not have a strong fragrance. It's a very faint pleasant, clean smell.

I'm unfamiliar with PDRN products as this would be my first but it sounded nice so I decided to give it a try. I normally have very oily skin but lately I've been getting some dry patches around my face and breakouts that have been red and irritated. The night I tried this my face felt particularly sensitive and irritated. You have the option of using the gel and cream separately or mixing them together with the provided spatula. I decided to mix and apply that way. It's lightweight but still offered enough moisture for my dry patches. It helped with some of the discomfort I was experiencing from the irritated breakouts. Although I know it's not great for the skin, I do enjoy some fragrance every so often in the products I use but I was really glad to see this was fragrance free what with the irritation I was experiencing. The packaging is cute and a little goes a long way so I can see this lasting a decent amount of time which is a plus for me because I normally stick with drugstore priced skincare products. It didn't leave me waking up with a greasy face like some other moisturizers can do for me with my oily skin but it did feel nice and moisturized in the morning. Overall I think it's a nice product.

All I can say is WOW!! This cream is beyond amazing. I am in awe of what it does to my skin. I don't even know how to describe the effect it has... no words to describe it! But I am definitely impressed!First off all, it's a gel and I see something white at the bottom. The instructions tell me to mix the gel layer with the white cream at the bottom. After I washed my face, I used the gel. I didn't have a toothpick to mix the 2 layers yet so I just used the gel. And it is beyond amazing. Whatever the ingredients are, it makes my skin so hydrated and I feel like my face is glowing, but there's not really a shine. It looks super healthy. It is definitely doing good for my skin and the affect is that it makes my feel more thoughtful, glowing, and so hydrated. I am so in love with it!I do suggest they put the gel and cream side by side. It's hard to mix them and to use the cream without mixing if it's sitting under the gel.

I am not new to PDRN skin care, but I am new to rice derived PDRN. So far I am loving this! I like that there is a gel and a cream in the same jar. It came with a little stir/ application stick which is nice. It's fun to swirl the gel and cream together.I scanned it on YUKA app and it has a rating of 92/100 which is great. I am always on the hunt for high quality, clean skincare. This product checks those boxes.For reference, I have normal to oily skin. Both the gel and cream absorb into the skin so easily and are super hydrating! Once absorbed it leaves my skin very slightly tacky which makes it work perfectly under makeup. I have found that it works nicely with my other skincare products as well. This is becoming one of my new favorites!

I really want to like this moisturizer, however, I can't get over the synthetic coloring (Red 33, and Blue 1).This Tokki on the Moon "purple rice PDRN gel & cream" is really unique. The lightweight moisturizer is a layered gel-over-cream moisturizer that is lightly hydrating, and absorbs well. The moisturizer includes a small, transparent spatula for stirring and/or application. There is NO perceptible fragrance; the odor is fairly neutral. The gel/cream applies feeling light and cool with a slight tackiness until absorbed. It spreads really well (see video).Overall: I love the idea and visuals of the layered gel and cream. The cream layer is not thick at all, so the moisturizer is generally akin to a gel-based moisturizer; it is quite lightweight. During these cold, dry Winter days, this moisturizer layers beautifully under heavier, cream/butter-based moisturizer. Excellent value for this effective product. hth!!I really like everything about this Tokki gel/cream, but I can't get over the addition of synthetic coloring (solely for that reason, I would not re-purchase, but as that so subjective, I took only a star off). The list of ingredients are fairly standard and good, and there is little to no scent. It's a little pricier than your average moisturizer but it's also unique so I'd say it's a decent value.Overall, this product has surprised me and I'd definitely recommend anyone looking to step up their skincare regimen!
